Colour Consultancy is a service to create a colour solution; a colour palette for your specific home redecoration paint project, whether it is one room, connecting areas, or the use of a complementary scheme throughout the whole house.
There are so many paint options around – brands, colours, finishes, effects – it can be overwhelming knowing where to start, and to find exactly the right shade.
- Maybe you know the look you are aiming for, have certain colours in mind, and just need someone to provide the confidence of an experienced second opinion.
- Perhaps the room is compromised light-wise or an unusual shape, or the scheme has to go with existing furniture or fabric choices – these all present challenges.
- It could be you are after a totally different style, and you need to be taken out of your comfort zone and wowed by the possibilities.
Claire not only loves her colour consultancy work with a passion, she is experienced at working with her clients’ style, taste and budget preferences to create the perfect individual colour scheme. As an interior designer, Claire is product-independent and works with Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Designers Guild, Sanderson and Paint the Town Green colour ranges among others. We use these specific ranges because they are consistent with their colours, we know the coverage ranges, the clarity and depth of tones, and how to use them together.
Various companies (Farrow & Ball, Laura Ashley, Fired Earth to name a few) offer colour consultancy services, and are excellent choices if you know you are going to use those ranges, and sometimes offer discounts on paint then purchased.
After an initial meeting to establish a working relationship connection, go through the brief and charges with you, the actual consultation then lasts around one hour. Claire will follow up with a schedule of paint colours for walls, ceilings, woodwork, skirting and architectural features in the rooms, as many options as you need.
The consultancy service can extend to help with wallpaper choices, fabric selections, furniture and lighting choices, plus Clara Bee can source contractors for you.
